Letting someone have a second chance would help them improve their behavior. Roger tried to steal Mrs. Jones’ purse but he was caught and she took him home. “You gonna take me to jail?” asked the boy but she made him wash his face and gave him food. Even though Roger tried to snatch Mrs. Jones’ purse she still did not take him to the police station; she is giving him a second chance. Normally people would take the robber to the police station and not give them another chance to correct their mistakes. So they think that their life can’t be better and continue to make the same mistakes. Because Roger was given a second chance his behavior will improve. That’s because if Mrs. Jones had taken him to jail he would have met other criminals and think the way he chose is the right way to continue. His life would not become as successful as he would have wanted it to be. He would not be able to see the way he should have chosen and after awhile it would have been too late for him to change his choice. So when Roger got a second chance he realized his mistakes and the consequences he would have to face if he continued with his wrong decision.

When people gets a second chance they realize their mistake and try to improve their behavior. In the movie the teacher and Teddy were given second chance to correct what they have done wrong. The teacher was given a second chance to change her untruth about that she will treat all the children equally. When she saw the wrong answers on Teddy's paper, she was actually delighted to put a big F on his paper. Until she realized why he didn't pay attention in class and she felt really upset. Even though she gave him F's on his paper, he still gave her a Christmas present which had a bracelet and perfume. By then she was filled tears and felt ashamed of herself. Then she decided to show Teddy that he could also get a second chance by showing and tell him about things he was missing. By doing so, she also got her second chance to correct her wrong behavior towards Teddy.

In both the stories a second chance is given to improve their behavior. Mrs. Jones gives Roger a second chance. Similarly the teacher gets a second chance from Teddy and she gives Teddy a second chance too. When people gets another chance they will start to have hopes on them-self and they will also change their behavior.
